50 year old Karleton Wright of Detroit is due in court today for a preliminary exam on charges he shot and killed his 38 year old son Eric Hatchett of Southfield.
The two were at Wright’s auto repair business on James Couzens earlier this month.
Police say the two got into an argument, that Hatchett hit his father in the face and that the father then pulled out his handgun and shot his son.
Wright drove his son to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Wright is charged with 2nd degree murder.
