Probe Is On In Distracted Driving Wreck

More charges could be coming in the crash that killed a mother and her 5 year old daughter. Police believe it was caused by a distracted driver.
35-year-old Gladys Johnson, and her five-year-old daughter, Zakira, were driving on US-23 near Monroe on Friday.

The driver, identified as Todd Moyer of Holt, rear-ended them.

Johnson and her daughter were dead at the scene.
Moyer is a strength and conditioning coach at MSU.

Johnson was driving southbound in a 2010 Hyundai Elantra when it was rear ended by a 2007 Dodge Ram.

Moyer was driving the truck. It is believed he was texting while driving.

The force of the crash sent the Hyundai into a 2004 Toyota being driven by a 20-year-old from Findlay, Ohio.

Moyer’s truck continued moving after hitting the Hyundai, striking a 2012 Cadillac CTS with a Troy couple inside.
The people in the other vehicles refused medical attention.
