Detroit’s newest public park and outdoor entertainment spot is set to open .
Beacon Park, a project between DTE Energy and the city of Detroit, is near the DTE Energy headquarters.
Four days of events including live music are planned.
The 1.5-acre Beacon Park will feature a restaurant and a central lawn with walking paths and areas to sit; a multi-use space for outdoor activities; and areas for food truck vendors and bicycle parking.
The Downtown Detroit Partnership predicts Beacon Park will attract one million visitors each year.
