Trash Bribes Back In Court

Two of the men charged in an ongoing federal investigation into a trash hauling conspiracy in Macomb County are due in court today for a pre-trial hearing.
Attorneys for Chuck Rizzo Junior and Dean Reynolds are scheduled to appear before federal court judge Robert Cleland in Port Huron.

Reynolds is a former Clinton Township trustee.

According to federal indictments, Rizzo had paid bribes to Reynolds and others for their votes in obtaining lucrative trash hauling contracts for his company.

All told, 12 people have been charged to date.

Six have pled guilty.

Trial dates have not yet been set for Rizzo and Reynolds.
