Troy police believe alcohol was involved in a fatal crash on the I-75 freeway.
A car being driven northbound on the freeway at Adams by a 22 year old man rear-ended a party bus that had been stopped on the shoulder because of a mechanical problem.
The driver was seriously injured, but his 22 year old male passenger was killed.
Eight people on the party bus were also injured.
It happened about 3 yesterday morning.
