A smash and run burglary at a Detroit drug store was foiled in SW Detroit. Police say someone backed up a vehicle to the Southwest Discount Pharmacy store and tried to smash down a door and wall. But police say it was fortified with metal bars. The break in criminals drove off. It’s the latest in a series of similar thefts in which crooks get away with prescription drugs, like opioid pain killers.
