Roads Open After Flooding, Pump Snafu

About 8,000 homes and businesses are without power in SE Michigan due to last night’s rain storms. That’s according to DTE.

Our freeways and major surface streets have cleared of flooding.
According to M-DOT, a power outage in the area caused the pumps to go out near I-696 and Evergreen in Southfield. They brought in a generator and a pump but the damage had been done, and drivers were trapped on the freeway for hours.
