A candlelight vigil to mark the death of a Detroit teenager during a police chase, escalated on the east side.
Hundreds turned out at the spot where Damon Grimes died while fleeing police, riding an ATV .
The vigil became a police protest. Witnesses say some in the crowd tried to incite trouble.
Police were aided by others in the crowd to bring it under control. No injuries are reported.
Lawyer Geoffrey Feiger says the family is suing State Police over the death of the 15 year old.
