Christopher Ilitch says the Tigers are not for sale.
Ilitch, the CEO of Ilitch Enterprises, tells the Detroit News that getting rid of hi-priced ballplayers like Justin Verlander, JD Martinez, and Justin Upton is part of the plan to restock the team with young talent, the way he says his father did with previous Tiger teams and the Red Wings.
Ilitch is identified by the News as the owner of the team.
