A preliminary exam is scheduled for today for a Warren man charged in the beating deaths of his aunt and uncle.
37 year old Joseph Borowiak is facing charges in the death of 67 year old Steven Collins and his 66 year old wife Cynthia.
Police had been called to their home in the 23-thousand block of Panama street on September 1.
They say they found the couple dead on the floor of a bedroom and that there was so much blood that they thought the couple had been shot..
Autopsies revealed that they had been severely beaten and died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Borowiak had lived with the couple, but had been kicked out of the home earlier this year.
Police checked social media under his name and found that he had threatened family members.
Because he was felt to be a threat to other family members, he was ordered held without bond pending today’s court hearing.
