Police in 4 other communities report similar incidents since Wednesday.
In Garden City, a student walking home from school was followed by a white pickup truck.
She was walking home when police say the pickup truck pulled up next to her and started keeping pace with her.
A student walking home from school in Oceola Township was approached by a woman at a school bus stop in the Hidden Creek neighborhood.
The student fled to her home.
A 14-year-old girl who was approached by a man near Carter and Wick roads in Allen Park was assisted by nearby residents.
A man drove up to the girl and asked her if she wanted a ride. Residents thought it was strange and told the man to leave.
A man walked into a Redford Township backyard on Denby near 7 Mile and asked a teenage boy if he wanted to go for a ride, .
When the boy asked where they were going, the stranger said, “You’ll see.” The teenager refused. The man drove away.
