In the market for an S-U-V? How about a Ferrari?
You can’t buy one just yet, but WJR reports the Ferrari S-U-V is coming.
The Ferrari SUV probably will not have the roar of the supercars that Ferrari is famous for. But the company plans to build SUV’s in an aggressive strategy to double it’s profits in the next 5 years.
What does SUV mean in the world of Ferrari? For starters, it’ll be a 4-seater. Ferrari boss Sergio Marchionne, also the head of Fiat-Chrysler, says the vehicle, and the thinking, are a departure for the 70 year old iconic company.
“It’ll be a different kind of utility,” says Marchionne.
The Ferrari SUV may be available by the 2022 model year, or sooner.
Investors seem to like the new ideas.
Since Fiat-Chrysler spun off Ferrari less than 2 years ago, the stock value has doubled.
