It’s been six weeks since 15-year-old Damon Grimes was killed during a pursuit by state police.
The officer accused of using a stun gun on Grimes has resigned, and two investigations are underway.
State police said the teen ignored orders to stop riding his all-terrain vehicle illegally in his neighborhood.
Now, his family is hoping others will have a safe space to ride by turning a parcel of land at Conner and Frankfort into an ATV park.
Family and friends rode their ATVs as a way to pay tribute to Damon Grimes.

Michigan State Police and the Detroit Police Department launched separate investigations following the teen’s death in Detroit in August.
The trooper accused of using his stun gun on the teen has resigned. Two other troopers have been suspended.
