The Waterford Twp. board moves to try to get buildings at the long-vacant Summit Place Mall torn down. They’ve given the California company that owns the property a deadline to arrange for the demolition.
Township Supervisor Gary Wall told the meeting the company had run out of time to act, in the face of growing unhappiness by township residents.
The mall has been vacant for about a decade. The buildings are dangerous.
The township hopes to find a buyer or developer for the property, on Telegraph Road and Elizabeth Lake Road.
