A veteran teacher and baseball coach at Pioneer High school in Ann Arbor is due in Macomb County Circuit Court today involving charges of being a sexual predator.
57 year old Gerald Holley of Ann Arbor was arrested for trying to have sex with an under-aged child.
Detectives from the Macomb County sheriff’s computer enforcement team were made aware of a man on social media who was believed to be seeking children for sexual encounters.
An undercover detective began having on-line conversations with him.
Prosecutors say Holley believed he was talking with a child from Clinton Township and set up a meeting to engage in what he thought would be sexual activity.
He was arrested at the meeting location.
The charges against him could send him to prison for up to 45 years.
Holley is married with two children and has taught in the Ann Arbor school district for 30 years.
