While several fires were reported across the city Sunday night, volunteers were optimistic.
On the east side near Grand Boulevard and Gratiot, close to 40 firefighters were battling a blaze Sunday night. Four homes that were vacant went up in flames.The firers are suspicious.
Another fire, at Ashton and Belton was also suspicious.
A commercial building burned on Conant and Talbot in Hamtramck.
