Strong sales of trucks and S-U-V’s again dominate new vehicle sales for October.
Ford was the big gainer of the Detroit 3, with a 6-percent gain.
GM and Fiat Chrysler were down, but both are cutting their fleet sales, which have little profit.
GM down 2-percent, with passenger car volume down 24-percent.
Fiat Chrysler declined 13 percent.
Toyota and Honda had small gains, with Honda going against the grain by posting a stronger demand for passenger cars.
October looks like the second-best month of the year for new vehicle sales.
