A Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputy has been assigned to a desk job after fatally shooting a masked gunmen who broke into her home.
Police say a 26 year old man, armed with a gun and wearing a ski mask, broke into her home in the 14-hundred block of Beatrice.
The 35 year old deputy, a 15 year veteran of the department, told police she heard her door get smashed in … she grabbed her gun, confronted the man and shot the man in the chest. He was dead at the scene.
