Update On ‘Candyland’ Murders

More is now known about the murders of two men at a candy wholesale business in Sterling Heights, in separate shootings. Police believe two family members were targeted in the fatal shootings inside Laith’s Candy Land in Sterling Heights.

The family has left the area in fear as the killers remain on the loose.
51-year-old Sufian Saba was found shot to death Nov. 27 at Laith’s Candy Land, a candy and nut wholesaler on Mound Road in Sterling Heights.

The owner of Laith’s Candy Land is Sufian Saba’s nephew, 27-year-old Laith Anki. The family canceled Sufian Saba’s funeral Saturday when police told them Anki had been shot to death inside the business.
Police say they believe these were targeted murders.
