Detroit Towing Exec Admits Bribes

Detroit towing tycoon Gasper Fiore pleads guilty to bribery.
Fiore admitted to paying a Clinton Twp. official money to win a contract.

Fiore, of Grosse Pointe Shores, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Port Huron. He admitted to paying then-Clinton Township Trustee Dean Reynolds bribes in exchange for help in getting a towing contract.

Fiore faces up to five years in prison. Fiore and his family operate Boulevard and Trumbull towing. The city of Detroit charges Fiore cheated Detroit out of taxes for years.

Fiore was indicted in a corruption investigation that has charged 18 people, including the head of the former Rizzo trash hauling company. Chuck Rizzo Jr. also pleaded guilty to bribery.
