Fires Displace Residents, Reveal Bad Hydrants

Fires sent people to the hospital, and the cold makes it difficult for fire fighters.
In Detroit, 7 people, 2 adults and 5 children, were sent to the hospital overnight in an apartment fire at Glendale and Woodrow Wilson on Detroit’s west side.
They suffered smoke inhalation. Some 60 residents were chased from their apartments. Cause of the fire is under investigation.

A house was gutted by fire on Edsel street in Detroit. Fire crews say they had a hard time fighting this fire due to bad fire hydrants and low water pressure.

In Warren fire damaged a home on Hobart street. No one was hurt.
