Mayor: Expand ‘Project Green Light’

Detroit’s mayor gives the green light to more green lights.
Mayor Duggan is pressing city council to pass an ordinance that would require more businesses to have video surveillance.
Project Green Light began 2 years ago with the help of DTE Energy. More than 200 businesses, gas stations and stores, that stay open late at night, have the video surveillance. Duggan wants to begin the requirement for businesses open until 4am, a peak time for crime. Officials say the presence of surveillance video cuts down on crime.
