36-year-old Mitchelle Blair of Detroit was sentenced to that life prison term she requested. Friday morning, she was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. She admitted that she killed two of her children and kept their bodies in a freezer in her apartment for over a year. She demanded that she be allowed to plead guilty and was willing to go to prison. 36th District Court Judge Dana Hathaway eventually accepted that guilty plea after it was determined that Blair was mentally competent.
She has shown no remorse for the killings, and shocked court watchers when she said she would do it all over again. She said the children were demons who had sexually abused her two other children.
