Did State Block Flint Bacteria probe?

A Wayne State environmental engineer testifies in court that state officials put up roadblocks to his team testing Flint water for Legionella.
Shawn McElmurry was asked by Gov. Snyder to study whether Flint water contamination was connected to a Legionnaire’s outbreak that authorities say led to at least 12 deaths and dozens of illnesses. But McElmurry says he ran into resistance in testing water filters, and that the state in general didn’t want to find Legionella. McElmurry testified that State Health Director Nick Lyon didn’t seem to be interested in protecting public health. This was during a court exam of Lyon, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter and misconduct.
