Trial Coming For Auto Parts Shooter

A preliminary exam is scheduled for today for the woman charged in the fatal shooting in November of the store manager of a Detroit O’Reilly Auto Parts Store.
23 year old Shawnta Anderson is facing charges that carry with them life prison terms.

Prosecutors say Anderson and 28 year old Eboni McEwan-Ross entered the store on Schaefer and demanded money.

69 year old store manager James Haller Junior heard the commotion from the back of the store.

As he rushed forward, Anderson turned and shot him.

McEwan-Ross grabbed the money and both ran to a getaway car being driven by 39 year old Levitcus Butler

He pled guilty to a charge of being an accessory after the fact and will be sentenced in March.

McEwan-Ross is due back in court later this month for a hearing on one county of murder.
