A 98 year old man from Dearborn drove the wrong way on a highway in Florida and crashed into a pickup truck, killing two teenaged girls.
Florida Highway Patrol says 98 year old Walter Roney of Dearborn was driving an R-V in the wrong direction on State Road 70 in Fort Pierce. The road is a divided 4-lane highway. The R-V smashed head-on into the truck, killing the two girls. Roney and his passenger, 75-year-old Carolyn Bruns, also of Michigan, were critically injured. Police don’t know why Roney was driving in the wrong lanes.
