The Wayne County Prosecutors Office has been asked to determine whether to charge a Roseville judge in connection with a hit-and-run accident.
State police had looked into allegations that Catherine Steenland hit another car on Gratiot back on September 25th and fled the scene.
The driver of the car that was hit got the license plate number of the other car and called police.
Officers traced that number to Steenland’s home in Roseville.
They went to the home, but no one answered the door.
The investigation was turned over to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
But it was then passed along to the Wayne County Prosecutors Office to avoid any possible conflicts.
A spokeswoman for the prosecutor said they are reviewing the case.
