Duggan To Address Education In Speech

The mayor enters the school fray.

K thru 12 education and a partnership between schools and the city administration will center Mayor Duggan’s state of the city speech.
Duggan is expected to spend a lot of time on plans to get involved with Detroit public schools and charter schools, and giving children access to quality education.

The speech is also expected to deal with expanding anti-crime programs.
Duggan will deviate from his usual unscripted format, and will use a Power Point presentation, similar to a speech he gave at the Mackinac regional conference last year.

The speech is at 7pm. You can hear it on WJR.
