Are robbers taking police to the cleaners?
Dozens of Novi and Farmington Hills police and firefighter uniforms are missing after a break-in at a cleaners in Detroit.
Thieves stole two vans from the Perfect Cleaners’ on West McNichols. The thieves broke into the yard and found the keys to the vans inside.
One van contained Novi Police and Novi Fire uniforms. The other van had Farmington Hills police and firefighter uniforms.
The vans are described as a white Chevrolet Express with rear and front end damage and a white GMC Savana . The Chevrolet Express van has license plate CE82871 and the GMC Savana van has license plate DB46109.
Detroit police are investigating whether a van that crashed into a liquor store on West Chicago near Schaefer is one of the vans from the cleaners.
Crash and grab is a continuing M-O for robbers. A crash and grab occurred Thursday overnight at a marijuana dispensary in Detroit.
