Whitmore Lake schools were closed today due to a threat of violence.
The superintendent posted on Facebook that the threat was aimed at one of the schools.
Superintendent, Tom DeKeyser posted:
” I am canceling school for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 14, due to a threat of violence against one of our buildings.
Shortly after school today, I received information about the threat. Northfield Township Police were notified immediately. Individuals were taken into custody, however, the case is still considered “active.” As such, I am taking the added precaution of canceling classes in all buildings tomorrow.”
