A Grosse Pointe neighborhood is ravaged by fire.
Fire crews were called to Washington Road to battle a large fire involving at least three homes.
Flames initially broke out at a house that was being renovated. The fire then spread to two neighboring homes.
A neighbor went inside one of the burning homes and rescued an elderly woman and her cat. No one was hurt.
An apartment building fire has left several families homeless in Pontiac.
The fire happened this morning at Baldwin and Cesar Chavez. It was put out by Waterford, Bloomfield Township and West Bloomfield fire departments.
There may be as many as a dozen families displaced due to the fire.
