Threats May Keep Him Behind Bars

A man serving a five year prison term for the aggravated stalking of his ex-wife is due in court today in Jackson County on charges he plotted from prison to have her killed.
Kevin Beverly was charged last July by state attorney general Bill Schutte after a report in which ex-wife Nicole Beverly said Beverly had made 4
unsuccessful attempts to hire someone to kill her and her 2 sons while he was in prison.

Beverly was up for parole on the stalking charge and Nicole Beverly said she was sure he would try to kill her himself once he was released.

She is hoping today’s trial and another trial scheduled in Washtenaw County will lead to new convictions with long prison terms.
