Area residents will get a chance to speak out later today on their views on the latest plans for mass transit in the area.
A previous plan was defeated at the polls in 2016.
It had lacked support in Oakland and Macomb Counties.
Wayne County Executive Warren Evans put forth a new plan in March.
It calls for a 1.5 mill increase that would cost the average household about 118-dollars a year.
Six public hearings on the measure have been scheduled by the Regional Transit Authority.
The first will be held this afternoon from 5:30 until 7:30 at the Baldwin Public Library in Birmingham.
A second will take place tomorrow afternoon at the Detroit Historical Museum.
The last four will be held next week.
