Towing Tycoon Could Go To Jail

Another powerful area business man is set to learn his fate today in connection with an ongoing federal probe of public corruption in Macomb County.
Detroit towing company boss Gasper Fiore is to be sentenced today on his guilty plea to paying off then Clinton Township Trustee Dean Reynolds to help win a towing contract.

The bribery charge is a five year felony.

Under a plea, prosecutors will recommend a 21 month sentence.

The 57 year old Grosse Pointe Shores man  is the former owner of Boulevard and Trumbull, Detroit’s largest towing company.

Fiore is one of the most powerful people charged in a scandal that has led to charges against 20 people.
