Accused Shoplift Schemers In Court

Court hearings are scheduled for today and tomorrow for five of six men accused of running an organized retail fraud scheme in Westland and Canton Township.
Police say the men would steal items from stores such as Home Depot, Lowe’s and Target, then sell the items on E-Bay abnd at the Bank Pawn Shop and Exchange on Warren Road in Westland where some of the men worked.

Charged in the case are 41 year old Mournier Hassan of Dearborn Heights, 37 year old Bilal Talep of Lasalle, Ontario, 31 year old Spencer Szostak of Dearborn, 31 year old Stephen Dodge of Dearborn and 30 year old Steven Kilbourne-Bullion of Allen Park.

The 6th person was yet to be identified.

Prosecutors say the arrests were the result of a six month investigation.
