Search Resumes For Missing Girls

Warren Police and the FBI are conducting a search in Macomb Township, for bodies that may be buried near a creek.

The search is being conducted in the area of 23 Mile and North Avenue,
The search is connected to the Kimberly King case, a 12-year-old who went missing in the late 1979 from Warren.
Kimberly had gone across the street from her grandparents’ house where she lived, to her best friend’s house.
She’d told her family she was spending the night there, but around 11:30 that night, Her sister, Konnie, got a call.. Kim said she was calling from the corner of 9 and Hoover.
Kim’s family reported her missing to Warren Police, but at the time investigators considered her a runaway.

Her sisters heard that Kim went to 11 Mile and Gratiot in Roseville.
The search is near where the body of Cindy Zarzycki was found 10 years ago. Zarzycki disappeared in the 1980s. Arthur Ream was convicted of her murder and is serving life in prison. Police also think the bodies of other missing girls may be buried in this wooded area. Police are not saying what led them to dig in the wooded area again.
