Three votes were the difference for school proposals that were defeated in two communities in Tuesday’s elections.
Van Dyke Schools in Macomb County and Ecorse Schools in Wayne County both asked voters to approve sinking funds . But they each lost by 3 votes in light turnouts.
Millage and bond issues were approved in Roseville, Trenton, Bloomfield Hills, and Southfield.
Macomb County voters said yes to a millage issue for Macomb Community College.
A millage increase to override the Headlee amendment was passed in Ann Arbor.
