A Royal Oak man goes on a rampage against his parents— and then charges police. An officer shot and killed the man, identified as 20 year old Cody Reynolds. Police got a 9-1-1 call from Reynold’s mother, who had just been stabbed. Police say he also had attacked his father. Police tracked him down a couple of streets away. Police say Reynolds got out of his car, was ordered to halt and drop to the ground by a police officer, but instead, Chief Cory O-Donahue says he charged at the officer. The officer shot him. Reynolds was dead at the scene.
The man who was shot was well-known to police. He was on probation for a drunk driving crash that seriously injured another motorist.
