Former Troy City Manager To Be Sentenced On Violence Charge

He ran the city of Troy, and then ran into big trouble.
Former Troy city manager Brian Kischnick is scheduled to be sentenced today on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
The 50 year old had been charged with fighting with his girlfriend and throwing her to the ground after the two returned from dinner.

He denied the charge, saying the woman had become upset and that he was just trying to calm her down when they both fell to the ground.

Despite his denial of any wrongdoing, he entered a plea of no contest.

He explained that he didn’t want the woman to become the spectacle that he has been.

He was fired from his job just two days after the March 9thh incident.

Prior to the incident, Kischnick had one of the state’s best government jobs as Troy’s city manager, earning about 160-thousand dollars a year with a car allowance and other

benefits.
