Some Chrysler vehicles vulnerable to hackers

If you drive a Chrysler beware. Hackers could take control of your car and there’s nothing you can do about it. The flaw, exposed by a crew at Wired Magazine was acknowledged by Fiat Chrysler. The flaw in several Chrysler models can let hackers control them over the Internet. Hackers can cut the brakes, shut down the engine, drive it off the road, or make all the electronics go haywire. The problem is a flaw in the wireless Uconnect system that connects the cars to Sprint’s cell network. Chrysler acknowledges the problem and is offering a software upgrade that it says customers should install “at their earliest convenience.” But Chrysler isn’t issuing a recall or admitting that drivers are at risk.
