What’s In Your Water? 2 Schools Closed

2 schools are closed in Rochester Hills amid concerns about drinking water.
Van Hoosen Middle School and Rochester Adams Hi School students have the day off. A science class experiment detected high levels of mercury in the water, examined by people at Arizona State University. The water is being sent out to a certified lab. City officials say they test the water at regular intervals and never have found problems.

There will be no school for students in sixth through 11th grades, but Adams High School seniors got  a separate email providing information about an alternate site for exams.
