Organizers of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix say they plan to re-up their contract with the state D-N-R to keep the auto race on Belle Isle.
The head of the event, Bud Denker, says they’ll request a new contract.
The current 5 year contract ends after this coming race.
Complaints have come in that the race interrupts park-goers on Belle Isle, which has more visitors than any state park in the U-S.
