2 Men Drown In Black River

Divers recovered the bodies of two men who drowned in the Black River in Port Huron.
Deputies say 47 year old Robert Lewandowski fell into the river from his small boat, after waves from a passing boat tossed him into the water. The pilot of a pontoon boat saw the man shouting for help and jumped into the water to try to save him. Both drowned.
St. Clair County deputies say the cold water was probably the key. The water temperature is in the 50’s.
