Auto Supplier Changes Course, Will Not Move To Detroit

Amid all the news lately of companies locating in Detroit,  a major auto supplier that bought a downtown building will NOT becoming to Detroit.

Adient has dumped it’s plans to move it’s headquarters into the Marquette Bldg. on West Congress.
Adient acquired the building in 2016 after it was spun off by the Johnson Controls Company. But now Adient is having financial difficulties…. had a change of leadership…. and the new CEO, Fritz Henderson, the former CEO of General Motors, tells the city Adient will sell the building and will stay at it’s current headquarters in Plymouth Twp. Adient got a 2-million dollar state incentive package for the move, which would have brought 500 jobs with it.
