A crash and grab robbery— but this time police caught someone.
Police say robbers used a stolen pickup truck to crash thru the drive-thru window of a Walgreen’s drug store on Gratiot in Eastpointe overnight, and took 2 safes.
Police got on the case quickly, chasing the robbers into Detroit. They stopped the robbers but the 4 men fled on foot. Police caught one of the men and recovered the safes. They contained prescription drugs.
2 dozen crash and grabs have occurred in the Detroit area in the last few weeks.
