A Hamtramck man and a Saint Clair Shores woman are due in court today for a preliminary exam on a charge of engaging in human sex trafficking.
25 year old Lorenzo Hatcher and 21 year old Lamyia Sneed have been charged with kidnapping a 20 year old woman from Columbus, Ohio, bringing her to a home on Stockwell in Detroit and forcing her to work as a prostitute.
Prosecutors say the woman was kept in captivity from late March through early June of this year.
They did not say what led to the arrest of the couple, but that evidence in the case would be presented at today’s court hearing.
