Train Conductor Injured By Car

Sterling Heights police say the conductor of a train was injured when he was hit by a car at a railroad crossing, as the conductor was out of the stopped train on tracks at 15 Mile near Van Dyke. The conductor was investigating a problem with the crossing gate that led to the stoppage of the train, when a car tried to go around the scene on 15 Mile, and hit the man. He was in stable condition according to police. The road was closed for several hours.
