Police say the car driven by James Hearn slammed into the light pole in the median of Woodward and State Fair. Hearn and his girlfriend were dead at the scene. His 11 year old daughter was injured.
Family and friends were at a vigil for James Hearn last night at Martin Luther King high school.
Hearn was on the force for 4 years.
