Funeral services are today for a Wayne County Sheriff’s Sgt. who was killed in a hit and run.
55 year old Lee Smith was hit while jogging in Hines Park in Westland.
Today’s service will take place at the Greater Grace Temple on West Seven Mile.
Smith was a 26 year veteran of the sheriff’s department and had planned to retire on October 1st.
47year old Desmond Robinson has been charged .
He had been arrested two days after the incident following a tip through Crimestoppers.
