Former state police trooper Mark Bessner says in a court filing that he shot a Detroit teenager with his Taser because he feared for his life. Bessner says in the filing that he saw the 15 year old boy reach toward his waistband, while Bessner was chasing the teen for joyriding thru the neighborhood on his A-T-V. The A-T-V crashed and the teen was killed last August. Today a court conference is scheduled in the case, in which the ex-trooper is charged with 2nd degree murder.
